Proposed Joint Water and Sanitary Authority Formation

On May 18, 2021, the voters approved the formation of the Green Area Water and Sanitary Authority.  They also approved the dissolutions of the Green Sanitary District and Roberts Creek Water District.  Staff at both Districts will be working very hard to make the transition to the new Authority go as smoothly as possible, however, this process could take several months.  We ask for your patience and we"ll  keep you posted.

After the February 24th Public Hearing, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners called elections for the formation of the Green Area Water and Sanitary Authority, and for the dissolution of Roberts Creek Water District and Green Sanitary District.  The formation and dissolutions will appear on the May 18, 2021 ballot as three measures:

  • Measure 10-181: Formation of the Green Area Water and Sanitary Authority
  • Measure 10-182: Dissolution of Water District Upon Formation of Joint Authority
  • Measure 10-183: Dissolution of Sanitary District Upon Formation of Joint Authority
